The West JV Wildcats rung up another victory, defeating Peoria Central 15-1 Tuesday evening in Peoria.

Chase Hacker started on the mound and earned the victory, striking out four and allowing three hits and just one earned run over 2 innings of work.  Ethan Stroyan threw an inning of relief, logging three more strikeouts and no hits before giving way to Mark Ogden to close out the final 2 frames with three additional strikeouts against no hits and no earned runs.

Max Deffenbaugh (double, single, 4 RBIs), Ben Heberer (double, single, 2 RBIs), and Matthew Pritchett (2 singles, 2 RBIs) powered the offense for the Wildcats, with Ben Smith (single, 3 RBIs), Zack Jones (single, RBI), Chase Hacker (single), and Camden Schwarz (RBI) all providing timely offense in the victory.

The Wildcats will look to keep their win streak alive when they take on Champaign Central in Normal Wednesday evening at 4:30pm.

Wildcats’ pitcher, Noah Johnson, throws a complete game one-hitter over MacArthur.

West starting pitcher, Noah Johnson, goes all 5 innings for the win, allowing 1 hit and 8 strikeouts.

Offensively, the Wildcats were by Ryan Frye, 3 hits, including a solo shot to led off the 1st and  Steven Lorenz with 3 hits and 2 RBIs.  Mitch Thomas also contributed on Senior Night with 2 hits and 2 RBIs.

West will play again on Saturday, vs Lyons Township, 11:00 A.M. (JV games)
