The Wildcat Freshmen improved their record to 5-6 on the season by defeating the Prairie Central Hawks in an extra inning affair. The game was a back and forth affair, with the Hawks leading into the bottom of the 7th. Some key hitting allowed the Wildcats to tie it up, leading to the 8th, with the home team coming out on top. The win moved the Wildcats to 5-6 on the season.

The Wildcat Freshmen dropped a heartbreaker to crosstown rival Normal Community. Despite jumping out to an early lead and holding most of the game, the Wildcats were not able to stop the Ironmen bats. The loss drops the Wildcats to 4-6 on the season.

The Wildcat Freshmen dropped a pair in their league opener with Champaign Centennial. Despite some outstanding play by numerous individuals in both games, the Wildcats were not able to fight back after losing the lead early in both contests. The loses drop the Wildcats record to 4-5 on the season.
