New Batting Cages Complete

 Batting Cage Pictures

On Saturday, September 11th, the Wildcat Diamond Club completed the turf batting cage project. The new batting cage was paid for primarily from funds raised at the Diamond Club Dinner/Auction this past May.

A great deal of hard work was done to get the old cage taken out and the new ones put in. Wildcat Diamond Club Board Member Dave Evans headed up the project. A tremendous amount of donated time and labor from fellow Wildcat Diamond Club members and baseball parents played a major role in completing the project.

The Diamond Club owes a “special thank you” to Russell Arbuckle from Edwards Architects LLC, Tony Sipes, Heritage Machine and Welding, Sunbelt Rentals and Boitnott Landscaping for their technical expertise, labor and equipment, which was critical to the successful completion of the project.

Click on the photo above to see photos of the old cage, the new cages under construction and the final product.

The Wildcat Diamond Club, Coach Hawkins and his staff, and current/future Wildcats are very appreciative of everyone who was involved in making the batting cage project a reality!
