The Wildcat Freshmen dropped a hard fought game to the Peoria Notre Irish at PJHS despite having a slight hitting advantage in the game. The loss drops the Wildcats to 4-3 on the season.

Normal West suffers loss against Morton.
Normal West allowed 19 hits and 16 runs while scoring just 5 runs on 3 hits. Defensively the Wildcats had 5 errors and just could not get anything offensively going against the Potters. Mitch Thomas suffered the loss, Zach Inselmann, Reid Birlingmair and David Krueger all pitched in the six inning game. Zach Inselmann and Evan Jefferson both had doubles for West. West is now (12-5)

Normal West wins 11th game of the season at Pekin, behind Steven Lorenz and Noah Johnson.
Steven Lorenz pitched 5 solid innings allowing 3 hits, no runs, striking out 6. Noah Johnson closed out the last two innings to get the save. Johnson allowed 1 run on 1 hit, striking two. Ryan Frye hit had two hits with a homerun in the seventh inning, Frye also had 2 RBI’s. Blake Parker and Mitch Thomas each had two hits, Thomas added a double. West is now (11-4)

Tanner Rutledge pitched 5 innings, allowed 2 hits, 1 run and struck out 3. David Krueger closed out the win going 2 innings, allowing 2 hits, 1 run and striking out 1. Reid Birlingmair, Zach Inselmann and David Krueger all had two hits. Krueger added 2 RBI’s. The Wildcats are now (12-4).
