Normal West suffered its second loss of the season to Normal Community.  Ryan Frye (0-1) pitched two and a third innings taking the loss for the Wildcats.  Ryan had three hits with one run scored for Normal West.  Tanner Rutledge also contributed two hits with a double and one RBI.  Normal West is back in action Friday at Prairie Central and will be back home on Saturday against Washington.

Normal West Freshman beat Peoria Notre Dame in ten innings.   Tanner Rutledge started and gave up three runs on two hits and four strikeouts in four innings.  Evan Jefferson came in and pitched two solid innings, allowing one run, giving up one hit and striking out two. Zach Inselmann (2-0) pitched the final four innings to earn his second win of the season, giving up two runs, two hits and striking out two.  Zach also had two hits, driving in the winning runs in the top of the tenth.  Ryan Frye had the Wildcats only extra base hit adding a triple in the third inning.  Normal West improved its record to (3-1) on the season.  The Wildcats play host to Normal Community on Thursday afternoon.

The WILDCAT offense and defense played tough throughout much of the game.  In addition to the hits and the fielding, Chris Smiciklas caught three runners trying to steal second!
