The WILDCATS took their fans on a rollercoaster ride during the first game. While the Chargers scored in both the first and second innings, it wasn’t until the third inning when the CATS, down by 5, scored their first run with Caleb Smith coming home on Jacob Evans’s hit. The CATS scored again in the 4th when Turner Reid (on base after being hit by a pitch) scored on Josh Appel’s double. In the 6th inning, WEST made its move – Jacob Evans hit a single. Turner Reid followed with a triple to score Jacob! Josh Appel followed with a double to score Turner. Nick Hieb advanced both Josh and Reed Rogers (who got on after being hit by a pitch) home. Caleb Smith hit and was moved around by Chris Smiciklas’ double. Matt Hunsaker received the final RBI of the inning. Centennial fought back in the bottom of the 7th but came up short.

Reed Rogers hit a single to start the 2nd inning and scored on Tyler Ort’s double. In the 4th, Reed hit a double and scored on Kevin Myers hit. The final runs came in the 7th— Tim Thomas walked and Michael Lundquist reached on an error by the infield. Reed and Kevin Myers got the RBIs when both Tim and Michael scored.
Defensively, Josh Appel threw out two runners at second!
WILDCATS lose 4 -8.
