Normal West (14-8) suffered the loss to Normal Community last night.  Ryan Frye pitched three and 2/3 innings.  Frye gave up two hits, seven runs, four earned and struck out one.  Mitch Thomas pitched one and a third innings, allowing three hits and three runs.  Zach Inselmann pitched one inning allowing three hits, four runs, two earned and striking out one.  Blake Parker, Zach Inselmann, Tanner Rutledge and Jared Graf all had two hits.  Inselmann had a double and two RBI’s.  Parker and Rutledge each added one RBI.  Normal West ended their season with a (14-8) record.  Congratulations go out to the Wildcats on a fine season!

Normal West (14-7) suffered the loss to Olympia last night.  Steven Lorenz started and gave up three hits, five runs while striking out three.  David Krueger came in and gave up eight hits, allowing seven runs while striking out one.  Ryan Frye hit his team leading eighth homerun of the season in the fourth inning with two runners on.  Frye also hit a double and ended with three hits and three RBI’s.  West plays their final game Wednesday at NCHS.

Normal West (14-5) scattered four hits against Metamora to pick up the win 5-3.  Tanner Rutledge got the win going five innings, allowing nine hits, three runs and striking out five.  Evan Jefferson came in and pitched the final two innings, allowing two hits, no runs and striking out two.  Mitch Thomas had two RBI’s for West.

Saturday’s doubleheader has been canceled due to the weather.  Normal West’s next game is Tuesday at home verse Olympia.
