Wildcats experience a tough day with another walk off loss to the Chargers.

The Wildcats use three pitchers in a loss to Centennial.  Nick Bronson started the game and pitched 3.1 innings, allowing 8 earned runs on 6 hits and 2 strikeouts.  Ryan Frye finished off the 4th, pitching .2 innings and allowing no hits and no earned runs. Evan Mucciolo suffered the tough loss, allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings.

West managed to have several players with multiple hits once again. Cody Rogers, Ryan Frye, and Dave Watson each had two hits to contribute to the offensive outburst. Rogers had a single and a double with 4 RBIs.  Frye had a single and a HR with one on in the 5th, two RBIs.  Dave Watson also delivered with 2 singles.

Wildcats play again on Tuesday, May 6th vs. Decatur Eisenhower , 4:30 P.M.

Wildcats lose tough one in walk off fashion to the Chargers.

Reid Birlingmair delivers another fine pitching performance, allowing 3 earned runs on 8 hits and 10 strikeouts. Offensively, the Wildcats had their chances but couldn’t get that one hit with runners in scoring position to change the outcome.

Wildcats jump out to big early lead only to hang on over the Eagles.

The Wildcats received a good starting performance from Noah Johnson before a struggle in the 6th.  Johnson went 5.2 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 13 hits and 4 strikeouts.  Mitch Thomas came on in relief during the 6th to finish off the game, allowing only 1 hit in 1.1 innings.

Offensively, the West had four different players with multiple hits.  Evan Mucciolo, Ryan Frye, Mitch Fairfield, and Tanner Rutledge each contributed to the Wildcat outburst.  Fairfield led the way with 4 RBIs.

Wildcats play again on Saturday, May 3rd at Champaign Centennial, 10:00 A.M.
