Wildcats battle back from loss with a complete game pitching win from Steven Lorenz.

West received a complete game gem from pitcher, Steven Lorenz, in game 2.  Lorenz goes 7 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 earned run, and 2 strikeouts.

At the plate, the Wildcats were led by three hitters with multiple hits.  Adam Hoerner, Reed Rogers, and Mitch Fairfield each had two hits, including a double by Fairfield.

Normal West record (7-5)

Next game Tuesday night vs. Springfield, 4:30 PM start.

Wildcats jump out to an early lead, but can’t hold on in loss to Metamora.

Reid Birlingmair pitched the first 4 innings allowing 2 runs on 7 hits and 6 strikeouts.  Noah Johnson relieved in the 5^th and took the loss for the Wildcats giving up 4 runs on 2 hits.  Mitch Thomas relieved Johnson in the 5^th to finish off the game allowing 1 run on 5 hits and 3 strikeouts.

Offensively, the Wildcats were led by Reid Birlingmair with two hits including a double.

On another cold, blustery day the Wildcats battle to a close win.

The Wildcats were led by a complete game pitching performance from Reed Rogers. Rogers allowed only 2 hits, 2 runs, in 7 innings of work on the hill with 6 strikeouts.

Offensively, West was led by Cody Rogers with two hits and two RBIs.  Blake Parker made a great contribution today as well with a double, game tying RBI, and game winning run scored.

West will play again tomorrow vs Ottawa/ Metamora; game time 10:00 A.M.
