Wildcats fight off a late Pekin comeback to win in the bottom of the 7th.

The Wildcats managed only 5 hits in the win over Pekin, but four of those hits were for extra bases. West manufactured two runs each in the 3rd and 4th to take the 4-2 lead into the 5th.  A leadoff double by Ryan Frye, a triple and RBI from Reid Birlingmair, and a passed ball pushed the lead to 6-2 in the 5th, before a late comeback by the Pekin Dragons.  Pekin tied the game up at 6-6 in the top of the 7th before a double by Cody Rogers, and a game-winning double and RBI by Reed Rogers ended the game with the Wildcat victory.

Reid Birlingmair pitched the first 5.2 innings giving up 3 runs on 7 hits and 7 strikeouts.  Steven Lorenz relieved in the 6th inning giving up 3 runs (1 earned) on 2 hits.  Noah Johnson came in to close out the game in the 7th to earn the win.
