Reed Rogers throws a complete game gem in win over Bloomington.

West receives a spectacular pitching performance from Reed Rogers, who went the distance in allowing 1 earned run on 5 hits and 9 strikeouts.

Offensively, Cody Rogers got it started off in the right direction with a lead-off homerun.  After that the Wildcats were led by Evan Mucciolo, 2 hits and 2 RBIs; and Dante Ruffin, 2 hits.

Normal West will play again on Thursday, May 15, vs. Bloomington, 4:30 P.M.

Wildcats jump out early and then pour it on in a victory over Urbana in game 2.

West receives a fine pitching performance from Noah Johnson who goes the distance in a one-hitter with 2 strikeouts to win game 2 at Urbana.

Offensively, the West bats exploded again for 24 more runs against Urbana pitchers.  Wildcats were led by three batters with 3 hits apiece. Leading the way were Dave Watson, 3 hits and 4 RBIs; Ryan Frye, 3 hits 5 RBIs; and Reed Rogers, 3 hits and 3 RBIs.  Reid Birlingmair also had a great day at the plate, 2 for 2 with 3 RBIs.

Normal West will play again on Tuesday, May 13, at Bloomington, 4:30 P.M.

Wildcats win in a slugfest over Urbana.

West starting pitcher, Reed Birlingmair, goes 2.2 innings allowing 9 earned runs on 8 hits and 5 strikeouts before giving way to Nick Bronson in the 3rd.  Bronson allowed 2 earned runs on no hits and 1 strikeout.  Nate Beal finished off the last 3.1 innings for his varsity win.  Beal allowed no earned runs on 3 hits.

Offensively, the West bats exploded for 24 runs. Blake Parker led the way with 2 doubles, 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Other Wildcat batters with multiple hits included Cody Rogers, 2 hits and 2 RBIs; Reed Rogers, 2 hits and 2 RBIs; Evan Mucciolo, 2 hits and 3 RBIs; and Dante Ruffin, 2 hits and a RBI.
