Reed Rogers’ pitching performance leads the Wildcats over the Ironmen in extra innings.

The Wildcats received a tremendous pitching performance from Reed Rogers who went 8.1 innings, allowing only 6 hits, 0 earned runs, and 8 strikeouts. Rogers gave way to Steven Lorenz in the 9th to close out the game for the save.

Offensively, the West was led by Ryan Frye with two hits, double, RBI, and Reed Rogers with a hit and 2 RBIs. Tanner Rutledge came through in the 9^Th with a big hit and RBI as well. Great win!

Wildcats play again on Thursday, April 24, vs. NCHS at the Corn Crib, 6:30 P.M.

Beal and Gogan combine on shutout

Nate Beal pitched 7 scoreless innings (7 hits, 0 walks, 3 strike outs) to earn the victory while Michael Gogan pitched a scoreless 8^th inning to earn the save over Limestone. Dave Watson lead off the top of the 8^th with a single and scored on a throwing error after stealing second and third. Brock Hirn added 2 hits.

West used 10 hits and the pitching of Cole Dillon (2 innings, 3 hits, 1 run, 0 walks, 4 strikeouts), Brayden Nave (2 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 2 walks, 1 strikeout), Brock Hirn (1 inning, 0 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 3 strikeouts) and Matt Ogden (1 inning, 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks and 1 strikeout) to defeat Prairie Central 11-1.
