NCWHS hit the ball early and often, recording 14 hits enroute to a 17-7 victory over Olympia at Parkside field Tuesday evening.

Jake Marti (4 singles, 4 RBIs) and Jeremy Fischer (double, single, 2 RBIs) stayed hot for the Wildcats, with Ethan Stroyan (2 singles, RBI), Mark Ogden (2 singles), Chase Hacker (single, RBI), Camden Schwarz (single, RBI), and Zack Jones (single) also coming up big.  Ben Smith (single, RBI) sealed the deal for the Cats with a line drive, walk off single in the bottom of the sixth to end the game.

Marti started on the hump for NCWHS, allowing just one earned run, four hits, and recording three strikeouts in three innings of work.  Tyler Ott closed out the final three innings for the Wildcats, giving up two earned runs, no hits, and ringing up four more strikeouts.

NCWHS will look to end their season with a win on the road against cross-town rival NCHS at 4:30pm Wednesday afternoon.

NCWHS jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a Jake Marti homerun and never looked back, coasting to a 7-3 conference victory against Peoria Richwoods at Parkside field Saturday morning.

Marti (homerun, single, 2 RBI), McCade Brown (2 singles, 3 RBI), Holden Lueck (2 singles), and Ben Smith (2 singles) led the way for the Wildcats, with Tyler Ott (single, RBI) and Zack Jones (single, RBI) also coming up big in the victory.  Brown also added a pair of sparkling diving catches in centerfield to seal the win for the Cats.

Ben Smith pitched another gem for NCWHS, holding the Knights scoreless through five and lasting 6 2/3 – scattering six hits, recording five strikeouts, and allowing just three earned runs.  Chase Hacker came in to make quick work of the final out for the Wildcats.

NCWHS returns to action for their final home stand Tuesday afternoon at 4:30pm against Olympia.

NCWHS fought hard, but ended up on the short side of a 2-1 loss to Bloomington High School Wednesday evening at Parkside field.

Tyler Joaquin (3 singles, RBI), Jeremy Fischer (double) and Jake Rutkowski (double) provided the offense for the Wildcats in the loss.

 Jake Marti started on the bump for the Cats, scattering four hits, recording two strikeouts, and allowing just one earned run over three innings of work.  Holden Lueck handled the fourth through sixth innings, allowing just one hit, ringing up four more strikeouts, and relinquishing just one additional earned run.  Fischer finished out the seventh for NCWHS, allowing no hits and no earned runs while logging two additional strikeouts to close out a solid pitching performance for the Wildcats.

NCWHS returns to conference action at Parkside field with a double-header Saturday morning at 10am against Peoria Richwoods.
