Normal West wins first game of the Big 12 Conference Tournament.

Reid Birlingmair pitched 3 innings allowing 1 hit and 1 run with 3 strikeouts. Tanner Rutledge pitched the final two innings allowing 3 hits, 3 runs and striking out 1. Blake Parker hit an inside the park home run in the 1^st inning to get the Wildcat offense going. Ryan Frye had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s, Reid Birlingmair and Mitch Thomas each had 2 hits. Jared Graf had a double driving in 1 run. The Wildcats will play Monday at home against NCHS at 4:30.

2012 Dinner/Auction Recap

On Saturday, April 28^th, the Wildcat Diamond Club hosted the 6^th Annual Dinner/Auction in the Normal West gymnasium with great success!

A great turnout of nearly 300 coaches, parents and supporters raised approximately $11,000 to fund future improvement projects at the Normal West baseball complex.

To plan and execute a successful event like this takes a large, talented and dedicated team. Thank You to the board members who lead/served on the various committees, parent committee members, the Normal West staff, and Dan Faber from the Flanagan High School FFA who cooked our steaks.

Normal West gets two wins against Champaign Central to up record to (25-8).

Steven Lorenz go the win going 4 1/3 innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits striking out 2. Noah Johnson got the save, allowing 3 runs on 2 hits and striking out 4 in the first game of a double header at Champaign. Ryan Frye went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles. Blake Parker and Noah Johnson both added two hits.

NCWHS Wildcats

Zach Inselmann pitched 2 solid innings striking out 3, allowing just 1 hit. Reid Birlingmair pitched 1 inning allowing 3 runs on 1 hit striking out 2. Tanner Rutledge pitched 1 inning aloowing 1 run on 1 hit and Mitch Thomas pitched 1 inning striking out 1 while allowing no runs. Blake Parker went 3 for 3 with 2 triples, Ryan Frye went 2 for 2 with a double. Jared Graf had 3 hits including a double. Noah Johnson and Reid Birlingmair each had two hits.
