Game:

The Wildcats (9-0) hosted the Hawks from Prairie Central on a windy and cool Friday.

Falling behind early, the cats proved that the game is more than 90% physical and the other 50% mental.  Cool heads and hot bats started the rally in the 4th when Matthew James singled and Josh Appel walked. With two on and 1 out, Matt Hunsaker hit a double scoring two runs.  Chris Smickilas followed with a single and Kyle Zulz knocked in Hunsaker with a fielders choice.

In the 5th inning, after  an Alex Jefferson single and Matthew James walk, Adam, big papi, McGinnis blasted a 3 run homer into the teeth of hurricane type winds over the center field fence.  Matt Hunsaker and Kyle Zulz started a second rally by walking and were driven in a two run single from Austin Aerrola.

Thanks again to the delicious chicken, brats, and dogs by head chef Marty Smith and rice krispy treats by Cindy’s bakery.
