Birlingmair’s pitching and hitting lead West to win over previously undefeated Champaign Central.

Reid Birlingmair pitched a complete game win over the Maroons, allowing just 4 hits, 1 earned run, and 10 strikeouts.

Offensively, the Wildcats were led by Birlingmair as well with 2 hits and a RBI.

Wildcats battle back but lose to Moline.

The starting pitcher for the Wildcats was Steven Lorenz, who went 3.1 innings, giving up 5 hits, 4 earned runs, and 2 strikeouts.  Mitch Thomas came on in relief in the 4^th to finish off the inning.  Ben Lawyer pitched the last three innings, allowing 2 hits, 2 earned runs and 1 strikeout.

Offensively, West continues to manufacture runs with walks and scattered hits.

West will play again Saturday vs. Champaign Central (Conference opener); game time 10:00 A.M.

Wildcats have one tough inning and lose to a good O’Fallon team.

The starting pitcher for the Wildcats was Reed Rogers, who went 4 innings, giving up 9 hits, 5 earned runs, and 3 strikeouts.  Steven Lorenz came on in relief to pitch the 5^th and 6^th innings, allowing only 1 hit and no runs.

West managed to get a run in the first and sixth innings on only one hit, a double by Reid Birlingmair.

West will play again Wednesday vs. Moline; game time 4:30 P.M.
