Wildcats victorious against the Rocks, run record to 3-1 on the season. 

Nick Bronson threw five scoreless innings, giving up 1 hit striking out three and walked two.  Reid Birlingmair pitched a perfect 6th inning and Reed Rogers closed it out giving up two hits, one run while striking out two.  Ryan Frye had an RBI triple in the 4th inning and Mitch Fairfield added a double as Normal West improved to (3-1) with their win over the Rock Island Rocks in Jacksonville.

Wildcats score early and get win against Coal City.

Steven Lorenz got the win against the Coalers of Coal City in a game played in Jacksonville at Lenz Field.  Lorenz went 4 2/3 innings, allowing just two hits on one run, he struck out eight and walked two.  Noah Johnson came in and closed out the final 2 1/3 innings by striking out two and giving up no hits.  Ryan Frye led the Wildcats offense with 3 hits and a solo homerun.  Reed Rogers had 3 RBI’s on 2 hits, 1 double.  Cody Rogers also had 2 hits with a double.   

Normal West improves its record to (2-1).

West bounces back in second game with win over visiting Moline Maroons.     

Reed Rogers and Reid Birlingmair combined to throw a 1 hit shutout against the visiting Maroons.  Rogers pitched 4 scoreless innings, allowing just 1 hit with 5 strikeouts and 5 walks.  Birlingmair closed the final two innings with no hits, 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.  The Wildcats scored 10 runs on 9 hits.  Led by Mitch Fairfield, Reed Rogers and Mitch Thomas who each had 2 hits.  Reid Birlingmair and Ryan Frye both had 2 run homeruns while Tanner Rutledge added a solo shot in the 6th inning.  Fairfield, Birlingmair and Frye all had 2 RBI’s apiece, while Rogers and Rutledge each had 1 RBI.  The Wildcats next game will be at Springfield on Tuesday, March 25th
