NCWHS fought hard, but ended up on the short side of a 2-1 loss to Bloomington High School Wednesday evening at Parkside field.

Tyler Joaquin (3 singles, RBI), Jeremy Fischer (double) and Jake Rutkowski (double) provided the offense for the Wildcats in the loss.

Jake Marti started on the bump for the Cats, scattering four hits, recording two strikeouts, and allowing just one earned run over three innings of work.  Holden Lueck handled the fourth through sixth innings, allowing just one hit, ringing up four more strikeouts, and relinquishing just one additional earned run.  Fischer finished out the seventh for NCWHS, allowing no hits and no earned runs while logging two additional strikeouts to close out a solid pitching performance for the Wildcats.

NCWHS returns to conference action at Parkside field with a double-header Saturday morning at 10am against Peoria Richwoods.
